History of the tilde

Wed. OSXCon Panel Discussion

Jordan: "One of the benefits of going with [Motorola] is that we don't assume the hardware will get faster." (link)

RSS for MailMan?

I would love to be able to get some of my mailing lists via RSS. Certain lists I read a lot of, but don't want to have around cluttering my HD, since I know they're archived and searchable online. I would love to be able to read them in NetNewsWire, following the links to interesting posts.

Blogtranet

I applied for a job today maintaining a company's intranet. It reminded me of my beginnings in web work, and reminded me again why I love blogging so much. Fast, easy, web content.

TigerLaunch 1.0b4

What is Sid?

I told someone today:

I'd like [to] communicate that the app is where you go to get your point across - a launching off point for eloquence, soliloquy, and the ravings of the madman.

Comic Coffee

You know your caffeine addiction is going string when an online comic triggers your need to go make coffee...

You can hire me

This is a reminder to all you out there that I'm available for web development positions, esp. pure-Java and WebObjects. I'm also interested in Mac OS X programming.

Another test

Get used to it boys and girls...

Switcher

[via dive into mark] > Phil Ringnalda: "Looks like [yet another person] decided to switch to NetNewsWire Lite. Does it come with crack, or what?" (link)

Danger Hiptop

[via Hack the Planet] > The much-anticipated Danger Hiptop wireless blogging device has been released. (link)

Shoot

I added that last post to the wrong weblog. Oh well. It worked anyway, the pinger pinged, and that's all I care about.

Pinging again...

Is it working? It seems to be working. After all this messing around with NSURLHandles and such, lowly NSString came to the rescue with [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:aUrl]

Attributed Posts

You'll notice more attributed and quoted posts upcoming - that's because Sid now accepts dragged items from NetNewsWire, and creates the attributions and quotes automatically.

New Ping Test

I was having trouble with my xmlrpc ping code, then Jim suggested using the http interface. Like, duh. <smacks forehead>
