Presidential Speech and Document Tag Clouds
I'm a little over the whole "tag cloud" (a simple weighted list, really) thing as applied to blog posts, but applying it to more socially "interesting" texts is a clever idea. Here Chirag Mehta has run a series of tag clouds on 360 speeches and documents by Presidents of the United States - US Presidential Speeches Tag Cloud.
World's Largest Skateboard Ramp
This 360' skateboard ramp is insane. Some people have way too much time and adrenaline on their hands.

Ethan Kaplan at BlackRimGlasses has a post up about the major newspaper losing circulation. Feedburner (I think) thought they'd be funny with the feed ads, and this is what I saw in Google Reader a few minutes ago:

Ad-less, fun stuff
I finally got around to removing the Google ads from monkinetic. I never did make money off them (though Google insists it sent me a $100 check back in '05 sometime) and I was beginning to find them annoying. So... buh bye.
Yet Another Update Post
So, perhaps I should rename this site to "That-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Updated". ;-)
White and Nerdy
OMG, the countdown to Sept 26 continues. Witness White and Nerdy (some tidbits on Wikipedia), Weird Al's new single from Straight Outta Lynwood. Look for a cameo from Seth Green (as an action figure collector, which he really is) and an inspired appearance by Donny Osmond (and probably others).
What happens when you listen to too much NPR?
Well, one thing that may happen is you may begin wonder what a mashup with snippets of interviews by Terri Gross on Fresh Air and say, Green Day (perhaps something from American Idiot) might sound like...
Hazel
I must remember to download this on the home machine: Hazel, a wonderful-looking rule-based system maintenance app for OS X.
