Caching improvements
I've been seeing some performance losses on this site recently, between the search engines and the spambots, and more load on the T1 I'm behind, so (on Seth's excellent suggestion) I hacked |WordPress| to never send no-cache headers (which it was sending on requests of every kind). You should see a bit more zippiness from the site now.
Busy
Doing some work tonight, hacking on The Project and listening to a bootleg of a live R.E.M. concert from 1989. "I guess it's just a gesture..."

Early Results!
On a bright note, it looks like my brother Sean and his wife Amy may get some early results, even if the rest of the nation won't. New family member Jesse Ethan Ivy looks like he's going to make an early appearance. Here's hoping for an easy and quick delivery, and safety for mom and child!
G.O.P. Can Challenge Voters at Ohio Polls?
NY Times: G.O.P. Can Challenge Voters at Ohio Polls, Court Rules. In a day of see-sawing court rulings, a federal appeals court ruled early today that the Republican Party could place thousands of people inside polling places to challenge the eligibility of voters, a blow to Democrats who had argued that those challengers would intimidate minority voters.> So it comes down, again, to judges who were appointed by Republicans. This is not a good start to Election Day.
ADS, Inc: We Do Docs
Adoption Document Specialists (or Cheri as we know her :-) ) got a new (if temporary) website up! And they have a link to |Jodi|'s weblog at the bottom of their references page! Cool! We would heartily recommend Cheri and ADS to anyone considering adopting from Ukraine.
