Ethan Kaplan at BlackRimGlasses has a post up about the major newspaper losing circulation. Feedburner (I think) thought they'd be funny with the feed ads, and this is what I saw in Google Reader a few minutes ago:

I finally got around to removing the Google ads from monkinetic. I never did make money off them (though Google insists it sent me a $100 check back in '05 sometime) and I was beginning to find them annoying. So... buh bye.
So, perhaps I should rename this site to "That-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Updated". ;-)
OMG, the countdown to Sept 26 continues. Witness White and Nerdy (some tidbits on Wikipedia), Weird Al's new single from Straight Outta Lynwood. Look for a cameo from Seth Green (as an action figure collector, which he really is) and an inspired appearance by Donny Osmond (and probably others).
Well, one thing that may happen is you may begin wonder what a mashup with snippets of interviews by Terri Gross on Fresh Air and say, Green Day (perhaps something from American Idiot) might sound like...
I must remember to download this on the home machine: Hazel, a wonderful-looking rule-based system maintenance app for OS X.
I'm working on a set of shell scripts at work to aid in deploying projects to our dev server and a test environment, as well as update a network database with information about the releases... and I'm having naming issues.
While looking for advice in trying to develop a solid grid for designing a css-based layout for a site, I ran across this awesome visual grid by Andy Budd that can be set as a background on your design to show you pixel measurements on the page. He's also got a bookmarket so you can apply the grid to any design you're working on with a single click. W00!
While reading blogHelper's post about using Wordpress as a CMS, I noticed the menu of views in the upper right corner. You can select "normal" (blog style), "discussions" (most commented posts), "book" (all posts arranged into a hierarchical book structure), or "best" (highest rated posts). I thought this was a very clever and interesting way to expose users to various aspects of the content.
Sound Opinions - Listen Critically- I can't find now where I got a link to these guys, but Sound Opinionsis a rock and roll *talk show* (sweet!) on Chigago Public Radio. It's excellent, geeky stuff, and it's a nice antidote to most music radio.
Scott Adams, the creator of the way-too-like-real-life comic Dilbert, also has a blog and has commented a few times on the colloquially named "Middle East Crisis" (with surprising lucidity and insight). Today he discusses how both sides can be claiming victory, and gets a bit into cultural matters over there.
