Someone mentioned to me today that Edward Teller was dead. I had no idea who Edward Teller was, or why (or if) I should be pleased (as this person seemed to be) that he was dead.

Tim Jarret saw R.E.M. in concert. Sounds like an awesome show! They're going to be at Red Rocks Sept 13, but there's no way I can make it this year. ($54 before TicketMaster fees!)

Jodi and I took a real-life vacation this weekend! We drove out to Yucaipa, California, about 6 hours west of Phoenix. We saw the salton Sea (HOT and humid and boring), windmill farms around Palm Springs, got to go sailing with friends on the Pacific (launching from Long Beach) and go hiking in the mountains of San Bernardino National Forest.

Oh, yeah! Sept 4, Dodge Theater, Phoenix...

I'm reading Mark Pilgrim's Dive Into Accessibility site, and also Joe Clark's Building Accessible Websites. Both are invaluable websites.

If you're working on making a site accessible, and need to know what it means to satisfy level 1, 2, or 3 of conformance to the Web Accessibility guidelines, here's the checklist.

Man, oh man. So I got my PC today, a hand-me-down from my dad. I needed something to test out the sites I've been developing on, and I'm sad to say I've looked them over.

I'm about to start a site for an organization that works with the visually impaired, so I thought I'd dig up Mark Pilgrim's excellent resource, Dive Into Accessibility.

Whew. Well, my interview skills are rusty. Thanks for all the well-wishes from friends and family.

In about an hour I'm going to my first face-to-face job interview in 14 months. I'm nervous.
