"Yesterday we released a change to this core routine that allows the user to completely replace writeRssFile in an update-safe way." Maybe we'll begin to see Radio users providing RSS 1.0-compatible feeds now.

AP: Suspect Had Flight Manuals
A suspect in an alleged scheme to obtain fraudulent student visas had flight manuals, a drawing of a plane striking one of the World Trade Center towers and a date book with a lone entry: Sept. 11, according to court documents. Norfolk, Va, is one of the 5 cities in my home town area of Hampton Roads. Wow. Very scary.
How can something so overpoweringly foul come from our two terribly cute and cuddly felines?
If you use Mac OS X, you simply must get Launchbar, from Objective Devlopment. I'll not rant more now, just get over to Objective Development and get it. $19.95, and the best shareware you'll buy. Do it simple, do it right.
It's late, but I wanted to mention that our pics from Monday's trip to South Mountain are up.
Steve Jobs, WWDC Keynote: > "Mac OS 9 isn't dead for our customers, but it is for [developers]. Today we say goodbye to Mac OS 9 for all future development," said Jobs.
Jobs: "A week from tomorrow there'll be some news on the server front." May 14th: Apple introducing a dedicated server, rack mount model.
WWDC Keynote: Finder improvements coming in the next version of OS X:
Finder improvements -- integrated search, multithreading support, automatic thumbnail creation, spring loaded folders.
Inkwell. Handwriting recognition technology. Recognized by any application that uses text. Shhhh... If you're very quiet, you can hear it: neeewwwtoonnnnn......
Applle has a new Mac OS X page up on Jaguar, highlighting some of the previously mentioned new features, including iChat, the new Address book, Sherlock 3, new Finder capabilities, and more.
iChat: AIM-compatible messaging built in to Jaguar. Can create buddy list of anyone on the local network, as well. You can use your Mac.com name and don't need AOL account.
My parents, Jodi, and I went north to Sedona yesterday. We hiked up to Cathedral Rock, a breathtakingly beautiful formation with a view for miles and miles. It was about a .7 mile hike, with a rise of about 600 feet.
weblogs.com is "having a spaz attack" (as anita says), and we in the blogging community are feeling the pain of centralization. Heck, I'm wandering the 'net aimlessly without my Blogtracker panel (fed by weblogs.com).
I forgot to mention that Blue Shoe Diaries is back up and running after a brief (but too long!) GeoCities-inspired hiatus. Yay Angie! You rock.
We finally got our camera and new monitor! No time to blather on about them now, but you can see the monitor (and my lovely wife Jodi!) here (pics of course taken with the new camera):

Dave has put up a fast loading version of Scripting News, as their static server is down. I have to admit whenever I see this version of Scripting News, I'm taken back to 1996, '97 when SN was small and fast. It makes me want to rip the images off my site and strip it down to nothing. FAST FAST FAST!
Looks like Macromedia has got their whole lineup out in the new MX form now. I know Dreamweaver now runs on OS X (that link also has all the other areas that were improved in MX).
