Ohhhh, painkillers not agreeing with schmuck-in-a-sportscar...

Schmuck in sportscar rear-ended by hospital truck...

Yes, that's the kind of day I had yesterday. On my way to pick up my car from the shop, my dad and I were rear-ended in his Mazda RX7 by a mobile radiation unit truck from the very hospital I ended up at afterward. Ironic, isn't it?

Geez, It's been forever....

I know, it's been forever since I posted here. I've been working on the house, traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, and generally trying to avoid the US election crap.

Duncan Smeed has a copy of a hysterical email that's been going around.

Interesting Look at Election2000 results

USAToday has an interesting map showing the elction results not by state but by county. Bush won a vast majority of the counties in the US.

Map.net launches: Geo-informational directory

Hmmm Tim Bray, co-author of the XML spec, launches a new company, Antarcti.ca, and a new site, Map.net.

A Day Without "Get"

Perusing "Seth"'s older posts, I stumbled on this one, on the overuse/misuse of the word "get" in American English vernacular. Hmmm. Conciously changing one's speaking patterns must be (notice I did NOT write "has got to be") one of the most difficult exercises I know. I've tried it a couple times before.

Weblog Posts

Friends really shouldn't let friends post on weblogs. ;-)

Frontier + Apache on Mac OS X = Server Heaven

On inessential.com, the light goes on for Brent as he configures "Mac OS X" as a "Frontier" server:

Hans does a weblog

My buddy "Hans" is building a weblog in PHP and Mysql. Go Hans!

Hans Habenicht

Let me interupt my coverage of the US Polit Bureau to point to my buddy Hans Habenicht, aka Fonz.
