I have no idea if this proposal would work, but I like the idea of combining strength and compassion, something Americans have occasionally proven themselves capable of.

Good Grief - More on Nimda
The Nimda virus uses IIS, Outlook, AND Internet Explorer. Um, HELO?? Ever wonder about the fact that ALL THREE of these products are made by one company?

Cluley said the suspicion is that only Internet Explorer is vulnerable to this exploit..."
Leviticus As Literature
Being a Christian, and having done some varied philosophical studies over the years, I'm interested to read Leviticus as LIterature, by anthropologist Mary Douglas. From the description:

Up for air: Avoiding being over-McCuskered
I can't read more then 1/3 of the material on David McCusker's weblog without coming up for air. It's like being in a parallel dimension, it seems very like our world, but it very much is not. I should add I admire (or at least am greatly intrigued by) Dave a lot.

Sunrise on a new week
The drive in this morning was beautiful. As the days get shorter my morning drive has come closer to dawn. This morning the sunrise was amazing - the air was clear and crisp, the sunlight stretching itself over downtown Portsmouth was warm and bright. Nice way to start the week.

More potential terrorists apprehended
ABC News: "Officials also said they had multiple fake IDs, knives, and flight certificates from Flight Safety International in Vero Beach, Fla., one of the schools the suspected terrorists were allegedly trained.
Inexorable Flow of Time
GlennLog: Inexorable Flow of Time. Glenn Fleishman's weblog has some good, random, thoughts today. A nice bit: "Yasir Arafat looked legitimately shaken. I'm sure he didn't know. But this is what it takes to affect a man like him. This is the kind of event that changes lives, even lives like his."
